ALCATEL ONETOUCH WATCH UK release revealed
While the likes of Sony have provided consumers with smartwatches for a few years now other leading manufacturers have been joining the fray more recently. Some of these devices don’t come cheap though but today we have news of the more affordable ALCATEL ONETOUCH WATCH, which has now been given a UK release time frame.
The ALCATEL ONETOUCH WATCH was originally revealed at CES but now consumers in the UK will be able to get their hands on the device from the middle of next month. The watch will be priced at only £99.99 and will be available from Currys and PC World stores across the country.
As you can see it has a stylish design that has been awarded the iF Design Award by the iF International Forum Design GmbH. Costing a lot less than other offerings available it will be available in a dark red/volcano black combination, with materials such as brushed chrome and stainless steel used in the construction.
The watch comes with a heart rate monitor built discreetly into the watch face, and allows users to track how many steps they have taken, calories burned; distance covered, and even monitors their sleep cycle. If connected to a smartphone it will notify users of calls, social media updates, and vibrates if users get to far away from their handset.
You can activate the watch multimedia remote control by touching the screen that allows the control of music, capture pictures from the handset from a distance, and even make the smartphone ring to locate the device.
It is compatible with handsets running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or later, and iPhone’s running iOS 7 or above. It is dust and water resistant with a battery that takes around an hour to charge providing up to 5 days of use.
