Alcatel POP D5 offers Android KitKat on a budget
While owning the latest and most powerful smartphone is great for some users, not everyone can afford or even need such a device. The Android platform has handsets to suit all pockets though and today we have news of the Alcatel POP D5 handset that runs the KitKat operating system and comes at a low SIM free price.
Alcatel have a number of handsets available that are at the lower end of the price range, and the POP D5 can be purchased via the UK via high street retailer Argos for only £79.95 SIM free. For your money you get a device that features a 4.5-inch 480 x 854 resolution display.
Powering this is a quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 512MB of RAM running the Android 4.4.2 Android KitKat operating system. On the back is a 5-megapixel camera paired with a VGA shooter around the front with a 1,800 mAh battery supplying the juice.
Bundled with the handset is even a flip cover to help protect the device from life’s bumps and scratches making the Alcatel POP D5 ideal for younger users. We are getting a POP D5 sent to us in the coming days for review so we will let you know how the handset performs.
