Apple iPhone 7 release could be missing desirable feature
Apple has been seeing its sales and share price fall for the first time in ages this year, and many fans of the company want to see them bring out something special with its next flagship handset launch. Now though there is speculation that the iPhone 7 release could be missing a desirable feature in some user’s eyes.
We have already heard speculation regarding the iPhone 7 this year and now a new leak that is allegedly from an insider that works for Foxconn who actually build the company’s handsets has come to light.
The post on the Weibo page is suggesting that the iPhone 7 will come with a capacitive Home Button, which would make the device more waterproof than the iPhone 6s, but won’t have IP68 certification like the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.
IP68 certification means the device can be sunk in up to 5 feet of water for as long as 30 minutes, and while many won’t care about this some would have hoped the iPhone 7 would offer this level of protection.
Other specifications of the iPhone 7 according to the leak again include the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack along with a larger camera body on the back, and there are claims that Apple will provide fans with a Space Black option for the smartphone that is due to be launched next month.
Of course claims such as these always have to be taken with a large pinch of salt until the device takes to the stage in the hands of CEO Tim Cook.
