Apple Siri Speaker Rumoured for 2017 release

Obviously the rumour mill has been gearing up for the next round of new iPhone releases for Apple this year, but the company could also be launching a Siri Speaker for 2017 if some sources are to be believed.

In recent times consumers have had the likes of the Amazon Echo and Google Home to stream music to and access other Smart features, and according to serial and often accurate Apple tipster, Ming-chi Kuo, a Siri type product is in the making.

The rumoured Siri Speaker will integrate with the company’s already growing HomeKit platform that allows things such as thermostats and lights to communicate with each other. It will probably communicate with the likes of iOS, Macs, and AirPlay streaming with the company allowing app developers to add Siri voice commands to their applications.

Kuo also adds that the company have got engineers to design the speaker with seven tweeters and a subwoofer with an integrated processor from the iPhone 6 or 6s. If these claims are true we could possibly see the device at next month’s WWDC event taking place from June 5th.
