Galaxy Note 7 release date nears as speculation grows
Samsung has already provided consumers with two new flagship smartphones for 2016, and of course thoughts have long turned for what the company has in store next, and as the Galaxy Note 7 release date nears speculation about the device grows.
Over the last few weeks speculation surrounding the next phablet device from Samsung has grown with a number of different rumours surrounding the specs for the Galaxy Note 7. Regarding the name many would think the company would release a Note 6 as a natural progression from the last model the Note 5, but as you can see from the image on this page from reliable tipster Evan Blass, shows Note 7 branding.
The belief is Samsung wants the device to line up with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, and the handset is likely to be seen early next month as the last model launched on August 13th 2015. Further rumours are suggesting that the Galaxy Note 7 will be released in Europe including the UK as the company feels it was a mistake not providing the region with the Note 5 in favour of the Galaxy S6 Edge+.
Spec wise there will obviously be an improved processor under the hood and the handset will make use of an Iris scanner along with a fingerprint scanner built into the home button. Camera wise the Note 7 is expected to share the 12MP dual-pixel set up that was won many plaudits on the Galaxy S7 with a 5-megapixel front facer.
There has been talk of a massive 6GB of RAM paired with 64GB of onboard storage, but a supposed Verizon Wireless version has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site showing 4GB of RAM.
Other rumoured features include a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display along with an IP68 certification making the device water and dust resistant like the S7.
