Galaxy S6 camera specs set to get more intelligent
Smartphones have steadily got more powerful over the last few years and the advancement in technology has meant that we have to carry around less equipment such as cameras. Leading up to its big announcement next month Samsung has teased some Galaxy S6 camera specs that look set to get more intelligent.
Samsung has published a rather lengthy article on its Samsung Tomorrow blog teasing that the future of digital cameras “is in a Samsung Galaxy smartphone”, and lists the progress it has made with phone cameras since 2000.
The company has not specifically named the S6 but has stated “We meticulously evaluate every single facet of our smartphone cameras by taking over 10,000 photos in every imaginable lighting environment for analysis,” Samsung concludes.
“The same passion and dedication has been put into building the cameras for the release of our 2015 flagship model. It will be intelligent and do all the thinking for users, allowing them to take amazing pictures under any conditions, without having to worry about anything more than just pressing the shutter button.”
As we reported yesterday the Samsung Galaxy S6 is rumoured to be coming with a 20-megapixel rear shooter paired with a 5-megapixel front facer, but the S6 won’t have expandable storage for all those images taken with the new cameras.
