Galaxy S6 Nougat update release nears

Owners of recent Android smartphones often look forward to seeing their handset provided with newer versions of the operating system that not only brings new features, it can provide performance enhancements as well. Today we have news that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Android 7.0 Nougat update release nears.

We heard recently that a version of the Galaxy S6 running Android 7.0 had passed the Wi-Fi Alliance certification, and now it is being reported that the S6 Nougat manual has appeared online providing some details of what owners of the device can look forward to with the new version of the operating system.

The S6 and S6 Edge will receive the Grace UX along with a redesigned status bar that will have stackable notifications. Other new features include a new gesture friendly camera interface, and the Pop-up View mode.

There will be some features that the S7 family enjoy that don’t seem to be making their way to the older models though, which include the motion panorama mode, wide self-portrait with motion, and Video Enhancer.

Of course there has been no official word on when the Galaxy S6 models will see the Android 7.0 update, but hopefully the first batch of devices will start seeing the new OS soon.
