Galaxy S8 possibly seen in the wild before release
Later this month Samsung will be unveiling their latest smartphone to the world and in the run up to the big event the Internet is awash with speculation and rumours, and today is seems that the Galaxy S8 has possibly been seen in the wild ahead of its release.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is due to be launched at an Unpacked event on the 29th of March, and now some images that are claimed to be of the handset have emerged. The device in the images seems to be the smaller 5.8-inch S8 while a Plus version is rumoured to be coming that features a 6.2-inch display.
As you can see the bezels surrounding the display are virtually nonexistent and there is no physical Home button with previous rumors stating the fingerprint scanner will be on the back of the handset.
The S8+ is believed to come with a 2K Super AMOLED screen also known as Quad HD+ at 2560 x 1880 pixels. Powering the new Galaxy is believed to be either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or the 10-nm Samsung Exynos depending on the region.
These will be running the Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with 4GB of RAM, and other features are believed to include 64GB of internal storage, microSD card slot with support of up to 256GB, Iris scanner, Wireless charging, and IP68 rated.
Even though this sort of leak is nothing new until the handset is unveiled officially we won’t know for sure if these specs are the real deal.
