HTC Desire 820 processor specs confirmed
After being in the doldrums for a few years smartphone manufacturer HTC has been making a bit of a comeback in recent times, which started with the HTC One last year and continued this year with its replacement and its cheaper phablet alternative the Desire 816. Now though a new device in the form of the HTC Desire 820 has had its processor specs confirmed.
The image that you can see on this page comes courtesy of the official Weibo account for HTC that confirms that the upcoming HTC Desire 820 will be the first Android smartphone powered by an 8-core 64-bit processor.
Qualcomm has gone further by confirming that the handset will in fact be using the Snapdragon 615 processor. The image also mentions the date of September 4th which will mean the official unveiling taking place at the company’s IFA event which comes just a day after the Galaxy Note 4 will be unveiled.
The HTC Desire 820 meanwhile will be more of a midrange device but with a Full HD 1080p display among the list of specs the handset will feature. We will bring more news about the new HTC handset as we get it.
Will you be getting a new HTC handset this year?
