iOS 6 iPhone 5 untethered jailbreak release today: Update
There will be many of you that are waiting for an iOS 6/6.1 untethered jailbreak for the Apple iPhone 5 and other iOS hardware. The Jailbreaking community have been working hard since the release of iOS 6 to provide a solution for users, and we can tell you that later today the untethered jailbreak will be released to end users.
The team behind the jailbreak were waiting until Apple had released the iOS 6.1 update recently, and are now almost ready to offer Jailbreaking fans what they have been waiting for all these months. Some did wonder if it would ever become available, but it has to be remembered the Jailbreaking community work on these tools in their spare time with no financial gain.
Now the evasi0n website has a status bar that is currently sitting on 97% with a release promised as soon as it hits the magic 100 mark, which is set to happen in the next few hours. The jailbreak will be compatible for any iOS device that can run on iOS 6 or 6.1, and includes the iPhone 3GS and later.
Also included are the iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPod touch 4th and 5th generation as well as the Apple TV 2. Users prefer to jailbreak their iOS hardware with an untethered solution as it means they don’t have to connect their device to a computer every time it is rebooted or turned off. It has now been released go get it.
