iPhone 8 rumours suggest expensive accessory

It has now been ten years since Apple kicked off the smartphone world with the release of the original iPhone, but in more recent times the company has seen the competition heat up and sales of the most recent model have dropped slightly. Now as we progress further into 2017 some iPhone 8 rumours suggest an expensive accessory.

In terms of hardware innovation Apple has been left behind by some of the competition in recent times, but that doesn’t stop speculation regarding the next handset from the company and a new report suggests the iPhone 8 will feature wireless charging technology.

This sort of feature has been available in the Android world for a few years now and sources are claiming that the option will be made available only on the most expensive version of the iPhone 8. The report also claims that to utilise this feature iPhone 8 owners will then have to purchase a separate adaptor.

There are also claims that the company will stop supplying the 3.5mm Lightning adaptor that currently comes with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Of course this is pure speculation and the next iPhone may not even feature wireless charging and there are a few months yet before an official unveiling will take place.
