Nintendo World Championships get Shock E3 Return

With E3 a short while away many gamers will be forgiven for mainly anticipating the offerings for Microsoft’s and Sony’s current gen consoles, but what about those of us who still have a soft spot for Nintendo?

Well the official Nintendo Twitter feed just tweeted a link to a YouTube video (embedded further down this post) which reveals exactly what they have planned for E3 2015, the big surprise is that the Nintendo World Championships are set for a return.

In the video they talk about the Nintendo Digital Event, which starts at 9m Pacific Time on Tuesday 16th June and also talk about ever indulgent Nintendo Treehouse: Live @ E3 event which will feature more games than usual and guest appearances from developers – neat eh? They also mention testing out Mario Maker at your local Best Buy store.

Well, what’s caused the biggest stir is the return of the Nintendo World Championships which was last seen in 1990, forgive me for not remembering this, last time around I was 4 years old! All I can tell you at present is that it will go ahead at Los Angeles, California on Sunday, June 14.

This news it pretty fresh as I write this, so we don’t have a ton of details, however we’ll be sure to post more info regarding this as it is announced. Video after the break.

Looking forward to the Nintendo World Championships return? Let us know in the comments section below.
