Pioneer announces entry level VSX-531D AV Amp

For years now many of us have been purchasing larger sized flat screen TVs but the trouble with a lot of these is their audio performance. Luckily there are lot of options available to consumers as Pioneer announces the entry level VSX-531D AV Amp.

This sort of AV amp will be the ideal upgrade for those using a soundbar and will just need the addition of a 5.1 speaker package that can easily be purchased at a reasonable cost. This new model is basically the same as the company’s VSX-531 model with the added bonus of a built in DAB radio.

Other features on the Pioneer include four HDMI ports to hook up your gaming console, set top box, and Blu-ray player amongst other things. It packs 130W of power per channel along with support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio surround on Blu-ray discs.

There is also support for Ultra HD, HDCP 2.2, and HDR video pass through along with Bluetooth for streaming from a smartphone or tablet. While supporting both DAB and DAB+ it also features an AM/FM tuner with 30 presets and costing around £350. More information can be found here.
