Pioneer makes a UK TV comeback, not what you expect

Despite the advancement in LCD televisions over the last few years the picture quality that a plasma screen reproduces is far superior with deeper blacks and better viewing angles, and that is not forgetting the better motion control with high speed action. Now it has been announced that Pioneer is making a UK TV comeback but it’s not what you might expect or were hoping for.

The Pioneer Kuro range of Plasma screens are arguably the best TVs that were ever made with outstanding picture quality that even the top of the range products that are available now struggle to recreate, whether that’s Plasma or LCD.

The company pulled out of the Euro TV market in 2010 selling the rights to its plasma technology to Panasonic, who have since announced that they are pulling out of the Plasma market. Now though Pioneer are making a comeback to the UK by introducing some LED TVs that will be sold exclusively via the Dixons Group.

This will mean that the TVs will be available inside Curry’s and PC World stores as well as being available online, and will come in three sizes 40”, 46”, and 55-inches. The sets will all have Smart TV functionality as well as offering 3D support.

At the time of writing no prices have been provided but will go on sale next month in time for Christmas.
