Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launch almost here
Samsung’s smartphone division has enjoyed a bumper year so far with the Galaxy S7 pushing sales of its mobile devices back up again, and now later today the company is going to launch the Galaxy Note 7 but before then we have a leak that contains images of the handset out in the wild.
Like any major smartphone launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has already been the centre of lots of speculation and gossip, and now the images that you can see on this page look to be of the yet to be launched smartphone.
While there has been talk of Iris scanners and other new features this latest leak gives us the clearest indication yet what the Note 7 will offer consumers. The packaging shown below hints the Note 7 will be powered by a 64-bit Octa core processor that is likely to be the in-house Exynos 8890 or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 depending on the region.
There has been speculation of the Note 7 hitting 6GB of RAM but it looks like for now Samsung will be sticking with 4GB, while the display size is going to be 5.7-inches with a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution.
Internal storage on the model listed is 64GB while there has been talk of 128GB, but there will be the option of microSD card expansion. Camera wise it looks to share what is found on the Galaxy S7 which is a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel shooter on the back, while around the front is a 5-megapixel unit.
Later today the company will be showcasing the handset off to the world with the Note 7 expected to launch globally within the next few weeks.
