It was back in 2011 that Samsung really started to take off with regards to offering smartphones that sold by the bucket load. The Samsung Galaxy S2 and the original Galaxy Note were handsets that really captured consumer’s imagination, and now we have the latest news regarding the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the two handsets.
The Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note are still enjoyed by millions of users and the two smartphones are in line to get a new lease of life with the Android Jelly Bean update. Some new information has recently come to light via Samsung’s Ukraine website that has revealed some release dates for a number of Samsung devices and Jelly Bean.

It is being claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S2 will receive the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update on the 3rd of March, and if accurate there is a good chance other regions will be getting it around the same time. Meanwhile the original Galaxy Note is down to receive the same update on the 1st of March.
There are also dates for the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 that is pegged for an April date for seeing the Jelly Bean software, while the Galaxy S Advance is down to receive the update later this month on the 18th. The site does state that these dates can change without notice, but does give some notice when owners of these handsets can expect to start seeing the Android Jelly Bean operating system.
The update will bring a number of new features to the smartphones that includes the likes of Google Now, a smoother and faster UI thanks to Project Butter, and much more. As soon as we hear anymore news regarding these updates we will let you know. Via Samsung Ukraine.
