Samsung Galaxy S8 camera feature seemingly shown

Later this week the official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will be taking place in two locations, but many of the handsets features and specifications have already been leaked and now a camera feature has seemingly been shown.

We heard rumours a while ago that the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus wouldn’t be featuring a physical home button as the new handsets would feature displays with almost no bezels surrounding it.

Now some fresh images have emerged with one that can be seen at the top of this page showing the Advanced Functions menu. The language is in Spanish but translating via Google it has been found that owners will have the option of setting the power button up so it can be used to quickly launch the camera app, which is currently done using the home button on the S7 and S6 models.

It will work the same with users quickly pressing the button twice to open the camera application with the back camera being a 12-megapiel unit, while around the front is an 8-megapixel shooter.

From the settings it has been found that users can also adjust the DPI of the display choosing between HD+, FHD+, or WQHD+ settings. As reported previously it seems that Samsung will only be offering curved displays on the latest flagship Galaxy in either 5.8-inch or 6.2-inch options.

Are you disappointed with the loss of a physical home button?
