Sky Go for Android and more back on Google Play

Today we have some great news for Android users that are also customers of British broadcaster Sky, as a number of its applications have now reappeared on the Google Play Store for download once again.

A few days ago the company became the victim of some hacking by the Electronic Syrian Army which begun sending out false information via the company’s Twitter account and defacing the apps from the company on the Google Play Store.

This led to many users uninstalling the likes of Sky Go from their mobile devices as well as the apps being taken down from Google Play, but the apps that were already installed were safe from any security risk.

Trouble is that users that had deleted the apps from their hardware couldn’t reinstall them until now, as the likes of Sky Go, Sky Sports, Sky News, Sky+, and Sky Movies have been put back up on the Google Play Store for users to download and enjoy once again.
