Sony Xperia Z now available on Three
Away from the flagship smartphones being released by Samsung this year, there is set to be a number of other worthy handsets becoming available from a variety of other manufacturers. One such device is the Sony Xperia Z that is now available on UK carrier Three for delivery next week.
The stylish looking smartphone has now gone up for pre-order on Three with delivery expected to be next week on Thursday, February 28th. The smartphone is available for an upfront cost of £69 on the Ultimate Internet 500 plan that costs £34 per month, and for your money you get unlimited data, 500 minutes of talk time, and 5,000 texts on a two year contract.
For an extra £2 per month you can sign up to the One Plan that again provides unlimited data, 2,000 minutes of talk time, 5,000 minutes to other Three customers, and 5,000 texts which is again on the condition of agreeing to a new two year contract.
To recap the handset uses a 5-inch Full HD touch screen display run by a quad-core Qualcomm processor clocked at 1.5GHz, and is paired with 2GB of RAM. There is also the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system on board and the smartphone has been promised the 4.2 Jelly Bean update in the not too distant future.
The smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear facing camera with a 2.2-megapixel shooter on the front, and the device is promised to be water and dust resistant. Three have both the white and black colour options on offer, and will also sell you the Xperia Z on Pay-as-You-Go for £449.99.
