Sony Xperia S among devices in final Jelly Bean testing
If you are the owner of an older Sony Xperia handset we may have some welcome news for you, as it has been confirmed by the company that the likes of the Sony Xperia S is among a number of devices that have entered the final testing phase for the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.
The company has taken to its Twitter page to reveal that the Sony Xperia S, Xperia P, Xperia Arco S, Xperia Go, Xperia SL, and the Xperia Ion are all in the final stages of testing for the Android Jelly Bean firmware.
Sony hasn’t revealed any release date details about the software except promising more news will be revealed at some point next week, which should mean timeframes about the software’s availability is revealed.
Once the new operating system is downloaded to the hardware it will bring a whole host of new features and improvements to the smartphones. These include the likes of Siri rival Google Now, smoother and more stable performance thanks to Project Butter, camera enhancements, new notification bar, and much more.
Hopefully by next week will finally know when owners of these Sony devices can start to enjoy the Android Jelly Bean OS that will bring a whole new feel and performance to the hardware.
