Sony Xperia Z pre-orders go live on Three with some freebies
Sony is looking to make a bigger splash in the smartphone world this year with the release of some flagship hardware. The company is kicking things off with the highly anticipated Sony Xperia Z, and now leading UK Carrier Three has started pre-orders for the device and giving away some nice freebies for customers who get in their orders early.
The company has begun taking orders for the Sony Xperia Z via its telesales team and online, but if you go into one of its stores and be among the first 1,000 customers to do so they will kindly give you a free pair of Sony MDR-1R Prestige headphones worth £299.00.
Sony’s new handset features a 5-inch Full HD 1080p display that is powered by a quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 2GB of RAM. It runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and also features a 13-megapixel camera, NFC connectivity, and meets IPX5/7 water resistant standard while being only 7.9mm thick.
Three are also running a Twitter competition at @ThreeUK, which kicks off at 11am today with 3 lucky people tweeting #ThreeWinners winning a Sony Xperia Z. It is believed the handset will be available to consumers around the middle of this month, and to find out more about the handset or to pre-order one yourself click here.
