Tesco Mobile won’t increase pricing during a contract

The cost of owning and running a mobile phone doesn’t seem to be getting any cheaper these days, but if you are a customer of Tesco Mobile on a contract prices won’t be going up in the near future.

Tesco Mobile has become the only carrier in the UK to promise not to increase tariff costs for customers during the length of a contract. The virtual network that makes use of the O2 infrastructure has just made a price promise that will see no increases to prices mid-contract.

Many mobile users can get frustrated at extra costs that can come with owning a handset, and it has been found that 70% of users don’t realise that carriers can legally put up prices during the contract that has been signed up to.

price pledge

Users of Orange and T-Mobile have recently been met with price increases on their monthly tariffs of around 3.3%, which the company has put down to inflation and the cost of running its network, but this has obviously angered its customers no matter how small the increase.

So if you are a customer of Tesco Mobile you can breathe a sigh of relief in the knowledge that your provider won’t be increasing the price of your contract.
