Vodafone releases new Tab Prime 6 slate

Hot on the heels of announcing a new affordable 4G smartphone Vodafone has now revealed the new Tab Prime 6 tablet that will be available on pay monthly contracts, and pay as you go.

The Vodafone Tab Prime 6 has a 9.6-inch 720p HD display with a quad core 1.3GHz processor under the hood that is coupled with 1GB of RAM running Android 5.0 Lollipop. On Pay as you go it is available for £150 which will also include 6GB of data that has to be used within 30 days.

If pay monthly is more your thing the tablet will cost you from £17 per month with an upfront fee of only £19, and this will provide you with 1GB of data each month that includes the carriers 4G service.

Storage wise there is 16GB on board but this can be expanded by up to 32G via microSD card, and on the back is a 5-megapixel camera paired with a 2-megapixel shooter around the front. There is also a feature called SmartLock that will automatically unlock the device when it is paired with devices such as Bluetooth headsets.
